The Electrician program at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the electrical trade. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory experiences, students learn the fundamentals of electrical theory, wiring techniques, and safety practices. The curriculum covers residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems, as well as the National Electrical Code (NEC). Typically, the program takes approximately one to two years to complete, depending on the chosen path (certificate or Associate of Applied Science degree).
