The ‘earn-while-you-learn’ structure allows apprentices to gain practical on-the-job experience while earning a wage. Working in partnership with local Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees (JATC), the program ensures high-quality training that meets trade-specific standards. The curriculum covers a comprehensive range of topics, from basic electronics to advanced code studies and motor controls. Successful completion of the program and the Building Codes Division electrical journeyman test leads to a trade-specific Oregon State License Journeyman Card, opening doors to advanced-level jobs and journeyman careers.
